She’s headlining at Fremont Abbey in June — treat your ears.

One of the things I love about Pike Place — the constant rotation of musicians: some pros, some ams, all entertaining. Be sure to tip ‘em, folks (or better yet, buy their music).

Lots of bleak yet beautiful facilities in a port city.

Walked by Isis Coffee a couple times while trying to find Kuma Coffee Cafe after reading about it in Left Coast Roast. Turns out Isis carries Kuma coffee beans (some of the best beans I’ve ever had), but the cafe has changed ownership a few times. (Problem is compounded by both Bing and Google listing Kuma Coffee Cafe in their maps, with no reference to Isis. Bah!)

I do enjoy a humorous marquee (and there are plenty in this town).

So, the wind and rain knocked down the best of the peak bloom, but there’s still plenty to look at. Going back in a few days for the Kwanzan cherry blossoms along Rainier Vista — looks like they’re about due.

The Chihuly chandeliers at Chihuly Gardens and Glass are a must see — the whole exhibit is worth the entrance fee — but, this was my favorite.
